It's interesting, isn't it? Despite how no two lives could ever be exactly alike, everyone is united by the thought of nostalgia. Life was always better in the rose tinted past.

Is this a universal experience? If we all share the basic ability to value the past with nostalgia in such a way, then are we not all the same in the end? Should we strive to achieve our peak memories and experience better? Or is it a fruitless endeavor that will always end in disappointment?

I ask you to witness some stories wrought with nostalgia and ask if you manage to feel what I feel when I remember these moments. Even if you can't, there's still something I'd like to ask you.

I like how very personal this game clearly is as I can tell from both the visuals and the writing that you are taking from your own experiences, which is really sweet. The game itself is quite impressive design wise, having sounds that play in certain moments but what especially gets me is the use of the fade, which makes me wonder what you did to get that effect. The moment that Japanese song played made me chuckle a bit, especially when you wrote that it was pitched higher to avoid copyright.

It’s such a sweet and sincere game. As the title of your game suggests, it does well with giving the player snapshots into memories, parts that are kept to oneself made visible through the medium. Good use from switching from what the game “thinks” to fleeting thoughts that pass with every click of the button

incredible game! Story is long enough and help me have a great five minutes. I wanna know how did you make that little fading effect at the end.

I remember seeing the image of the two hands doing the “picture photo” thing in blue sky and seeing it used here was extremely effective! This is definitely a more personal story (or stories) to the author, but the framing of the story with the hands sorta places the player into the author’s perspective, and helps them sympathize or relate with the moments in the story!

This was nice, I really like reflective games like these. I would say for a suggestion, I may have noticed that the music for the dog scene was maybe the same as the airport location, I kind of had issues with sound in my game as well but if you ever want to come back to it, a more fitting track could be great.

What made you want to explore the concept of nostalgia, and the more melancholy side of it?

This game was extremely personally reflective. It definitely reminds me of Jade's game (https://slimjadey.itch.io/you-and) which also takes from her own experience . Although mechanically different, both games ask the player to reflect on their own experiences as well.

I was going to say the same thing. They both have a very reflective style and use pictures from their phone in order to showcase people and emotions.

While the mechanics are consistent with most of the other narrative games I’ve played, the framing of the text within the hands and the explicit acknowledgement that narration is flawed is very unique.

A mini visual novel that evokes memories and emotions for everyone no matter their past. We all really are not that different after all

this was a really emotional game. With how I created project 1, I really connect deep with this game. Almost Everything said hit home and close to me. I believe that you said what you believed at the end about nolastgia being a sweet liar and I agree.

I think making this game now makes sense since it's reminiscing on the past. The player is able to adventure and explore memories that aren't their own, but also perhaps they connect with some of the things they experienced. I know I did when you described rain, I love when it rains nd miss the smell of wet concrete. (One question I have is when you go to help your dog on the bed, it jumps to the answer if you had said stay sleeping, is that a bug or intentional?

I enjoyed this game and it's message. I liked how you used your own picture (I'm pretty sure they are your own) in order to show memories. I also appreciate the transitions and the fade out of the game I would love to know how you did that

I really appreciate the hand design / UI quite literally blocking what is in front of you, for the sake of nostalgia. It's interesting to see how both reassuring the past can be, and as other mentioned, the reflective ending helping to complicate those "best moments" while not necessarily ruining them. You should look into Nicky Case's games (I'll be presenting on Thursday!), since they seem to have that approach of a very distinctive narrative voice, but very nuanced exploration on whatever theme they're tackling. Nice work!

This game has a lot of content and a lot of different branching paths but always allows you to come back and experience each path. I really want to learn how to code the transitions between scenes. Also, the hands making the frame of the text was very clever and I enjoyed that touch

I really loved the sense of warmth and slight sadness that came through in your game. Great storytelling.

I really like the fading effect in the ending where you disagree. Not sure if it was intentional, but feels really symbolic that you have to put effort (pressing 1) to remember, otherwise it’s gone.

I went through all three paths and was pleasantly surprised by the reflective "ending" sequence. The text on the simple images brought out calling back to simpler times really well!

I love this story! I have seen your post on Bluesky talking about your project, and i think your work is definitely successful! I love the ending part, the vanishing text is cool~Besides, I love the background, it fits the idea~
